"The Supper at Emmaus" pictured here is the second such painting that Caravaggio did. The light source, coming from the left, shines on the face of Jesus, the focal point of the work. This rendition of "Supper" is less detailed and darker than the first. Chiaroscuro is evident in the flat background and deep shadows on the figures and table.
